Kids love to have their friends and cousins over for a night on Christmas day, or sometimes for the whole Christmas vacation! While they have fun, you have to make all the arrangements for them. Making their beds, pulling out extra mattresses, pillows, and sheets, preparing foods and treats and looking after them will be your job. Let us give you some ideas for sleeping arrangements for children so the little ones may spend a great time together.
Sleeping arrangements: This is what sleepovers should be all about, but they’re more about staying up all night than getting any sleep. It’s always good to have some extra mattresses, pillows, and blankets. But even if you don’t, it’s not that much of a problem. The lack of luxurious arrangements will not cause such an issue when your kids are having so much fun. They’ll even sleep on the carpet and won’t even complain about it! Most families these days keep air beds in which you just have to pump some air and they’ll be inflated in no time. Sleeping bags are also a good alternative choice. However, this is not something you should worry about as sleeping will be the last thing on their minds.
Activities: It’s almost impossible for kids not to enjoy Christmas day. They’ll always find something to do. However, you should check on them regularly and monitor their activities. If you see them getting bored be sure to have some ideas for them, like card games, board games, truth or dare, and other such recreational activities you think they would enjoy. You can even tell them to make a little movie of their own and then share it with their friends or families. Moreover, you can become their party photographer and give those little friends a photo session with different poses and props! If they get into pillow fights and ruin your pillows and cushions, you could make it a game by offering treats to the first set of kids who clean up.
Foods and snacks: Children love to eat and they love to eat all the time! However, they’re quite choosy about their edibles; therefore, you’ll need to have quite a lot of variety for them to choose from. Chocolate chip cookies, potato chips, French fries and ice creams are obvious favourites. If you’ve run out of ice cream, there’s nothing to worry about – get some juice fruit punch and freeze them to create popsicles within a matter of hours! Don’t forget to have nachos with jalapeno cheese sauce and salsa, because that’s something kids can’t ever resist. For lunch and dinner, give them something healthy instead of filling them up with fast food. Well, with so much junk food they’ve probably already consumed, chances are that you might not even need to prepare food for them!
This was all about sleeping arrangements for children on Christmas. Make sure that the makeover during Christmas holidays does not affect your child’s daily schedules in the long term. For this, you’d have to give them ample rest and peaceful sleep the day before holidays end.
